First of all, you get your own 'virtual shop window' which is to be your website. Whether you choose an already established website or a bespoke website tailored specifically towards a particular sector within the motor trade is totally your choice. Every month your website will be updated with stock and vehicles that are available through ourselves, as well as a list of vehicles that you may be able to source from elsewhere. We will upload the vehicles and ake sure that your website is running smoothly and displays new and current information.
You will trade under the Matt Cardy Group which gives a great level of credibility and offers a support system not only to you, but to your customers as well. This in itself allows you to provide the same level of service that is associated with the Matt Cardy Group, and our range of unique products.
Training will be provided, as will a total support system in order for you to run your business seamlessly within our guidelines, keeping customer focus 100% of the time.
Running Your Business
In order to keep your business running smoothly, you will need to have a few essential tools and skills. Firstly you will need a computer with the knowledge and skills to be able to operate it. Programs used will be - Internet Browser, Microsoft Outlook or similar, Adobe Acrobat Reader and you need to be able to use the internet.
You will also need a high speed internet connection such as Broadband. You cannot run a business using dial-up.
Another essential item is a telephone. If you only have a mobile, that's ok as we can set up an internet phone line for you where you are able to route calls through the internet very cheaply. You must also have a business bank account. We can advise you on finding a suitable solution.
If you have all this, you're ready to start. Most of everything we do is conducted over the internet, which we utilize as much as we can because of convenience and efficiency. This means that you can literally be anywhere in the World and run your business, as long as you have a high speed internet connection.
Fees and other costs
Of course, there are costs involved. Once upon a time we took on many people who were looking for work and gave them a chance to prove themselves. The fact is that this isn't for everyone and we recognise that. What you must understand is that we are running a business and our focus is on our customers - without them we don't have a business.
Therefore, as a commitment to all concerned, we will not just take anyone who walks through our doors, prop them in the corner at a computer and tell them to sell some cars. This does not work.
First of all, to set up your own website with your contact details and to get you started from day one, we charge a flat fee, the cost dependant on the website you choose.
Secondly, you will have a nominal subscription fee which is payable every calender month. This is to pay for us to keep your website updated, visitors coming to your site, hosting, domain name etc. Look at this as a day to day maintenance for your shop window.
You will also have a contract to protect both our interests.
